Go Mechanical, Hydraulic or CNC?

January 28, 2015 Three Main Types of Mechanisms

When it comes to machines that are used in commercial and industrial machine shops there are several different common types. Each of these machines performs different jobs and has different mechanisms. These different types of mechanisms help make our lives easier and allow us to perform work that otherwise be too time consuming and strenuous for just one person. These machines free us up from hard manual labor allowing us to work smarter.

Three Main Types of Mechanisms

There are three main types of mechanisms that you will find in maintenance and machine shops around the world. Each of these three has a special purpose in the shop.

The first and most common mechanism is hydraulics. Using fluid driven systems hydraulic powered machines are powerful and can handle heavy applications. The hydraulic cutter and hydraulic guillotine shearing machine are two pieces of equipment found most around the world. These two powerful machines can cut metal and other materials with ease.

The second type of mechanism is mechanical. Machines that utilized this motion often use gears and weights to produce pressure for punching, shearing and bending. One of the most common types of these machines is the Press Brake Machine. This is a very old machine type that has been used around the world for decades.

The third type of mechanism is CNC. This is the very latest in machine shop technology. CNC machines also known as Computer Numerical Control machines are very precise and are less wasteful. They can be programed by the operator to perform many different tasks. One of the most common CNC machines is the CND lathe. These machines are used to make many different types of parts for the automobile industry and many more.

We Are the World’s Leader in Hydraulic Guillotine Shearing Technology

If your maintenance or machine shop is in need of a hydraulic guillotine shear, we can help. Our machines are some of the most advanced on the market today. But when designing our machines, we didn’t forget why those old fashion machines worked so well. That’s why we have built our units with heavy duty frames so there is no need for blade-gap or rake-angle adjustments, which will save you both time and money. Our machines are very precise due to their heavy frame and this will help reduce waste and the savings could really add up. Unlike other hydraulic shearing machine manufacturers that build lightweight machines that need constant adjustments, ours is built for speed and will last you a lifetime. So contact us today and we will get back to you in 48 hours or less.
